It is often said that the fabric is the soul of a dress, so do you look at the fabric composition when making or choosing sportswear? Today, Jijin, a custom sportswear factory, shares with you the relevant knowledge of common sports fabrics and ingredients.
First, common sports fabrics
Cotton: good water absorption but not easy to dry, such as excessive movement is easy to deform.
Polyester: Polyester fiber, with high strength and elastic resilience, fast and durable, wrinkle free, but easy to static electricity and fuzz.
Nylon: also known as nylon fiber fabric, known for its excellent wear resistance, is the main fabric component of many sports tights, light texture, high elasticity, strength and wear resistance.
Spandex: also known as elastic fiber, the elasticity is very high, can be stretched 5-8 times, not easy to aging deformation. However, spandex can not be used as a fabric piece alone, and is usually blended with nylon or polyester. Generally, the higher the spandex content, the less easily the fabric is deformed and the more wrapped. A higher proportion of elastic fibers can give fabrics better wear resistance and elasticity, comfortable and breathable wear, moisture absorption and perspiration.
Second, sports fabric composition
As a professional sportswear custom factory, Jijin shares with you the main daily sports fabric ingredients.
1.10% spandex +90% polyamide
This fabric is more common in the production of lightweight sports shorts, smocks, slacks, coats
Advantages: soft and light; Disadvantages: not quick drying, average elasticity
2.20% spandex +80% polyamide
This combination is a cost-effective fabric match that can meet the requirements of shaping, elasticity and softness for many low-intensity sports scenes.
Advantages: skin friendly, can meet the needs of most users; Disadvantages: insufficient quick drying, average elasticity and strength
3.25% spandex +75% polyamide
This fabric is more common in most high-end sports underwear and leggings, providing both functionality and comfort in motion.
Third, many people will have such a question: why the composition is the same but the fabric feel is very different?
In fact, the fabric composition can only determine the characteristics of the fabric, but the wearing experience will also be affected by the thickness of the product, the process, the quality of the yarn and so on. For example, spandex mainly has single 6 and double 6 yarns, and the opposite cross section of double 6 yarns enhances the moisture absorption and sweating function, is softer and fluffy, and the color is softer.
